Site#5 Anderson Bridge
Anderson Bridge was named by Sir John Anderson, Governor of the Straits Settlements, Anderson Bridge was build in 1910 as the Cavenagh bridge was unable to cope with the increasing traffic.
Site#4 Raffles landing site

Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles (1781-1826), an agent of the British East India Company, is believed to have set foot on Singapore soil in January 1819. He hoped to establish Singapore as a British port that can compete with the other Dutch ports in the region.Raffles wanted to make Singapore a free port and an ideal stopping place for traders along the shortest sea route between India and China.
Site#3 Cavenagh Bridge
The Cavenagh Bridge was the grand old lady of the Singapore River bridges.It ws build in 1869,the bridge was named in honour of Colonel Cavenagh the last India-appointed Governor of Singapore. It was originally planed as a drawbridge.However after completion,it was only suitable only as a fixed structure. It is now a pedestrain bridge.
Site#2 Lim Bo Seng Memorial
On  November 1943,Lim Bo Seng arrived in Bagan Datoh by submarine,to join the British and chinese guerillas.To avoid detection,Lim Bo Seng took a different identity,as a businessman Tan Choon Lim.Unfortunate for force 136,there were traitors.Lai Teck,one of the members,was a triple agent between force 136.He leaked information that lead to the capture of many force 136 members. Lim Bo Seng was discovered and captured by the Japanese on 27 March 1944.He was taken to the Kempeitai headquarters for interrogation.Although he was subjected to all sorts of physical and mental torture, Lim Bo Seng didn't give any information about force 136.Due to the torture, ill-treatment and the unhygienic condition of the prison, Lim Bo Seng became bedridden by June of 1944.Lim Bo Seng died in the early hours of 29 June, 1944, at the age of 35, and was buried in the compound of the Batu Gajah Prison.Lim Bo Seng's wife Madam Choo Neo, was only informed of his death after the Japanese surrendered. She travelled to Batu Gajah with her eldest son,to bring her husband's remains home. On 13 January, 1946, Lim Bo Seng was given a proper funeral, with full military honour, in front of the City Hall. His coffin was taken to a hill in MacRitchie Reservoir for burial.

The War Memorial Park reminds us about the civilian victims of the Japanse occupation.The tall memorial comprises four columns which represents four races english,chinese,malay,tamil.
